It took me a while to decide on a new roof, but Bryce was very patient. Never pushed for me to make a decision. Once I bit the bullet, the roof replacement was scheduled within 2 weeks.
The crew was very professional and correct. Will,
… More the supervisor, checked in regularly to make sure there were no issues during the work. He even went to the store and replaced the vent cover in the master bathroom after it fell out due to the movement on the roof.
The new gutters will be installed in a few days, but I'm sure there will be no issues either.
Great company. Very competent crew. Competitive pricing (Olympus came in slightly higher, but they use well trained installation crews and the best materials. They also replaced the roof in 1 day, including clean up). Great customer service. Last but not least, Bryce is a very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy salesman.
Definitely recommend Olympus Roofing and Bryce Feist.

Olympus was great. Joe Fackrell carefully inspected and photographed our roof and explained the work that needed to be done. He was also responsive to calls and texts. The crew was friendly and efficient. Cason did the final inspection, … More photographed the roof and explained the completed work. He answered all of our questions. The roof looks great!

Olympus Roofing was great. This was our first re-roofing experience after living here since 2003. The old shingle roof was about 25 years old, showing signs of age, and when a leak developed after a moderate rain, we decided it was time … More to replace it. We sought several bids, but only a few companies responded, and Olympus was the ONLY one that bothered to come out and actually look at our roof and any special needs. All the others either responded strictly by looking at an a remote database of homes an estimating roof size and making assumptions without actually looking at our roof. We have a shallow pitch large roof so our situation was a little unique, and only Olympus made the effort to assess our real needs. The estimate was very fair and detailed. We went with a new “TPO” type roof since our roof pitch is shallow. They came out on a Friday and were done Saturday afternoon. They did a great cleanup and removed the debris trailer Saturday evening. We’re also working with them to coordinate some additional needed work on skylights and the surrounding facia. I’d highly recommend Olympus to anyone. They responded well to our needs, did great work, were very timely, cleaned up very well, and we’re very happy with the results.

I was very happy with the entire process of having Olympus complete our roof replacement. The explanation of the materials and process was thorough. The estimate was fair compared to another bid we received. The time frame from the consultation … More to install was fast, so it was completed before bad weather became an issue. There was good communication through the process. The crew did the job in just over a day, and cleaned everything up very well. The roof looks beautiful and I'm glad we went with Olympus Roofing.

Types of Cedar Roofs Roofs We Install

The beautiful appearance of a cedar-clad roof is sure to increase the value of any property. Naturally insulating, cedar roofs provide almost twice the insulation as asphalt shingles. Lasting around 20-30 years, cedar roofs only get better with age, slowly changing into beautiful grayish-silver tones. Cedar roofs have been around for hundreds of years and will be around for hundreds more.

Cedar Shingle Roofing

Cedar shingles are different in that they are sawed on each side. This cutting method makes them more uniform in appearance, but it leaves cross-grain saw marks. They’re a less expensive alternative to cedar shakes and provide a consistent look to your roof.

Cedar Shake Roofing

Cedar shakes have all the advantages of cedar shingles but are for those looking for a more rustic look. Unlike shingles, which are cut to look the same, every shake is unique—making your building look like it stood the test of time for the last 60 years and plans to last 60 more.

The Pros and Cons of Cedar Roofing

When making your selection about the type of cedar roofing to fit your needs, there will be pros and cons. We have broken down the list for you:

Pros of Cedar Roofing

  • Eco-Friendly: Cedar roofing material is not only 100% biodegradable and friendly to Mother Earth, but it is also incredibly energy-efficient. It insulates your home while still allowing it to breathe, which saves on heating and cooling costs.
  • Insulation: Cedar offers natural energy efficiency up to two times more insulating than asphalt. Saving you money on your heating and cooling bills.
  • Beauty: Cedar roofs are like no other. They add charm to your home that is otherwise impossible to achieve.

Cons of Cedar Roofing

  • Maintenance: Cedar roofs probably have the most maintenance required from all roofing materials.
  • Longevity: Cedar does not maintain its structural integrity like metal, slate, or tile. If you’re planning on living in your home for more than 20 years, you most likely will have to completely replace your cedar roof.
